Last updated: April 14, 2026
Bigweld Industries, LLC ("Bigweld," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website located at bigweld.industries (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit the Site or otherwise interact with us.
This Policy applies to the Site only. Our Piper software-as-a-service platform is governed by a separate privacy notice and the contractual terms between Bigweld and our clients.
By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before collecting or using your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in the following categories:
Information you provide to us. When you contact us, request a demo, sign up for a newsletter, apply for a job, or otherwise communicate with us, you may provide information such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, employer, job title, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically. When you access the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including your IP address, device identifiers, browser type and version, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, date and time of access, and other usage and diagnostic data ("Log Data").
Information from cookies and similar technologies. See Section 5 below.
Information from third parties. We do not currently receive information about you from analytics providers, advertising partners, social media platforms, or data brokers. If we begin to do so, we will update this Policy before any such information is collected.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, precise geolocation data, biometric information, or information about racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health, sex life, or sexual orientation through the Site. If you submit such information voluntarily, we will treat it in accordance with applicable law.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information for the following business purposes:
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site
- To respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and fulfill your requests
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and other unlawful or harmful activity
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others
- For recruiting and evaluating job applicants
- For other purposes disclosed at the time of collection or with your consent
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for marketing communications, non-essential cookies, and other processing where consent is required
- Contract — to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract or to perform a contract with you
- Legitimate interests — to operate and improve the Site, secure our systems, communicate with prospects, and conduct general business operations, where our interests are not overridden by your rights
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, or government request
You have the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We share personal information in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, including cloud infrastructure and content delivery, email delivery, email inbox hosting, and infrastructure security. These providers are contractually obligated to use personal information only as needed to provide their services and are bound by data processing agreements that include appropriate data protection commitments.
Affiliates. We may share information with our corporate affiliates for the purposes described in this Policy.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Legal and safety. We may disclose personal information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Bigweld, our users, or others.
With your consent. We may share personal information for any other purpose with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act and analogous U.S. state laws. We do not engage analytics or advertising partners who do so on our behalf.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses only strictly-necessary technologies required for it to function — for example, session identifiers set by our content delivery network when you submit the qualification-request form, and infrastructure-level cookies used for security and abuse prevention. We do not currently use functional, analytics, or marketing/advertising cookies.
If we add any non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, publish a cookie consent banner and provide a cookie settings link for you to manage your preferences.
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. The criteria we use to determine retention periods include:
- The duration of our relationship with you
- Our legal, accounting, tax, and reporting obligations
- The need to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or pursue legitimate business interests
- The sensitivity of the information and the risks associated with retention
When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or securely archive it.
We determine retention periods based on the purpose for which the information was collected, the nature of our relationship with you, applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and legitimate business needs such as security, fraud prevention, and records of legal claims.
